Answers in Genesis builds a replica of the Tower of Babel

Answers in Genesis (AIG), announced plans to build a replica of the Tower of Babel in order to combat racism that is becoming a banner cause of the left-wing. Even though the method may seem unconventional, the Bible-based reasoning behind the project blaming the theory of evolution for racism is convincing.

 Answers in Genesis opened the Ark Encounterr park in Grant County, Kentucky in 2016. The centerpiece of the park is a full-scale model of Noah’s Ark at 510 feet long and 81 feet high. In December 2016, for the holiday season, AiG lit the Ark with rainbow colours, aiming to “reclaim the symbol from the gay rights movement” and to remind viewers of the Noahic covenant. AiG reported that the Ark Encounter in its first year of operation attracted over 1 million visitors and aggregated 1.5 million total visitors for both the Ark and the the Creation Museum. 

 The Bible provides us with the true history of humanity. What people classify today as racial differences are rightly explained by the Babel event.

Noah in Kentucky: Bill Nye Gets Distressed at Ark Encounter

In May 2007, when Answers in Genesis (AiG) opened its Creation Museum in Kentucky, a group of atheists hired an aeroplane. Drawing a banner with the words “Thou shalt not lie,” the plane flew above the museum.

In July (2016), when AiG opened its Ark Encounter theme park to the public, Bill Nye, who debated Ken Ham at the Creation Museum in February 2014, was there to warn of the danger of brainwashing.

However, while Mr. Nye might not acknowledge it, most brainwashing tends to happen in secular venues where goo-to-you-evolution is taught as fact, regardless of the dire lack of evidence.

“The Science Guy” seems to detest all those who dare to question evolution.

The Ark Encounter features a huge replica of Noah’s Ark. Approximately 155 metres (510 feet) long, it could easily have fitted two animals of each biblical kind of land animal on board and kept them safe for a year.

Many secularists are worried. They seem to be wary of anything that promotes the biblical worldview, regardless of whether it has to do with statues, crucifixes or nativity scenes.

Noah’s Ark is described in the Bible. Jesus and the New Testament writers believed in its historicity. No wonder secularists are worried. It is a form of evangelism.

The Ark Encounter is not the only huge ark replica that has made headlines in recent years. Johan Huibers, a Dutch carpenter, has built two floating arks and some businessmen have constructed an ark of biblical proportions in Hong Kong.

New Trends in Creation: Answers in Genesis Opens Full-Size Noah’s Ark; Institute for Creation Research Builds New Museum

AiG and ICR have great projects in store for 2016 and beyond, featuring Noah’s Ark, for instance.

2016 looks like a good year for friends of creation. Answers in Genesis is opening its Noah’s Ark Encounter in July. The Institute for Creation Research is beginning the construction of the Dallas Museum of Science and Earth History.

Both projects are huge, and they will do much to balance evolutionary propaganda that our world is too full of.

Noah’s Ark Is Not Going Down, Despite Skeptics’ Speculations

As the Apostle John wrote, darkness does not tolerate light. Skeptical bloggers who are trying to discredit the Ark Encounter project in Kentucky have provided ample illustrations of this principle.

The amount of rumours and falsehoods they have come up with is staggering. They used similar tactics prior to the opening of the Creation Museum that despite the claims of skeptics has continued to attract more visitors than expected.

A favourite ploy of some secularists is that The Ark Encounter, scheduled to be opened in 2016, will be build using taxpayers’ money. This is not true at all. While Answers in Genesis will get sales tax refunds – like all other businesses in Kentucky, this will hardly match the skeptics’ claim.

They have got it all wrong. Noah's original Ark did not go down, and neither will its Kentucky version.

Answers in Genesis' Christmas Billboard in New York City

In recent years, atheists have been campaigning for a Christ-less Christmas. They have set up many billboards in major US cities, urging people to be merry without the real reason for the Christmas season.

To counter this tendency, Answers in Genesis-US just set up a new billboard in Times Square in New York. It has an exclusively Christmas message, pointing out that Jesus wants to reach out to even those who reject Him and refuse to believe in Him.

Answers Mega Conference Is Now Live

The AIG Mega Conference is being held at the Sevierville Events Center in Sevierville, Tennessee (July 22 – 26). The speakers include Ken Ham, Dr.Tommy Mitchell, Dr. Georgia Purdom, Dr. Andrew Snelling, Buddy Davis, Dr. Terry Mortenson, Bodie Hodge, Bill Jack, Steve Ham, John Elliott, Todd Friel, Eric Hovind and Mark Coppenger.

Ray Comfort’s new film Evolution vs. God was premiered at the Conference on Monday night (July 22).

New World-Class Exhibits at the Creation Museum

Opened six years ago, the Answers in Genesis’ Creation Museum in Kentucky has attracted 1.8 million visitors. The Museum presents the biblical view of earth history, including the view of a real global flood in Noah’s days.

Recently, the Creation Museum introduced three new world-class exhibits.

Smithsonian Uses Creation Museum Dino in Its Brochure

The dinosaur models at the Creation Museum in Kentucky are so good that the Smithsonian is using a picture of one of them in its brochure.

Located in Washington D.C., the Smithsonian Institution is a complex consisting of 19 museums, a zoo and a research institute funded by the U.S. federal government.

Many people would associate the Smithsonian with a belief in millions of years of Darwinian evolution. So the use of a Creation Museum dino is somewhat of a surprise.

Dan Lietha, a staff artist at Answers in Genesis, thinks that a photographer must have taken the photo at the Creation Museum and submitted it to a stock photo website that sold it to the Smithsonian.

“There’s no doubt the Creation Museum’s sculptors/designers do great work and at a highly professional and scientific level! And people are noticing,” Answers in Genesis CEO Ken Ham writes in his blog.

"Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution"?

In 1973 evolutionary biologist Theodosius Dobzhansky wrote an article entitled "Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution.”

Recently, evolutionist Massimo Pigliucci refuted this idea in a blog post. He argued that Dobzhansky was wrong.

Pigliucci also acknowledges that Darwinism “is not a scientific theory, but an ideological-philosophical position.”

Many others have likewise seen problems in Dr. Dobzhansky’s claim.

In part 1 of a video produced by Answers in Genesis, Dr. David Menton examines Dobzhansky’s often repeated view and shows that it is not true.

Biology makes much sense, especially when Darwinian evolution is not mentioned at all.

Have you ever heard about the seven habits of highly suppressive people? According to Bill Jack of Worldview Academy, the apostle Paul wrote about them in Romans chapter 1.

They are the result of rejecting God’s revelation that is clearly seen in nature:

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,” Paul states in Romans 1:20 (NIV).

This is the truth that they suppress.

Creation Museum Nominated Most Popular US Destination for Under 15-Year Old Kids

AiG’s Creation Museum in Kentucky was nominated the most important destination in the USA that kids under 15 should see. In a contest that Budget Travel arranged recently the Museum garnered a total of 7,615 votes or over 250 votes more than the second-placed US Space and Rocket Center.

Atheists did not like the idea at all. They did what they could to persuade people to vote for any other destination than the Creation Museum.

Their efforts were all in vain, however. The voters preferred the Creation Museum over any other destination.

Answers Research Journal at 4 Years: Still Going Strong

Answers in Genesis launched Answers Research Journal (ARJ), a peer-reviewed online technical journal, in January 2008.

While sceptics were quick to criticise the journal and doubt its contribution to science, ARJ is still going strong. According to the AiG website:

“The quality of scholarship from such a wide range of creation researchers has surpassed even our highest expectations. In only four years, we’ve published nearly 1000 pages of solid scientific and theological discussion in 66 papers. That includes 19 papers in 2011—our highest number yet.”

Coming contributions include papers on hypercanes, radiohalos and theistic evolutionism.

This brief video from Answers in Genesis shows why Darwinian evolution cannot have happened. There is no real evidence for molecules-to-man evolution, which ultimately requires life to have appeared from non-life, without which it could never even have started.

A giant Noah’s Ark to be constructed in Kentucky

A huge replica of Noah’s Ark will be constructed in north Kentucky not far from the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum.

Ark Encounter LLC and Answers in Genesis will build a full-scale replica of the ark in Kentucky. It is planned to be ready in 2014.

Genesis mentions that the Ark was 300 cubits long. A cubit was measured from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger. Ancient cultures used different cubit lengths. The ordinary Egyptian cubit was approximately 18 inches or 457 millimetres long, which would make the ark 450 feet or 137 metres long. The Egyptian royal cubit measured 20. 6 inches or 523-525 millimetres. If Moses, who was well versed in Egyptian royal culture, used this cubit, the ark would have been 515 feet (157 metres) long.

The first ocean-going vessel to exceed this length was actually built in the 1860s, so the ark was certainly no small tug boat.

The Flood was a major historical event for which we have plenty of evidence. Consider the following, for example:

1) Huge fossil graveyards have been found all over the world, including in the Grand Canyon where billions of nautiloids were buried catastrophically.

2) Marine fossils can be found even on top of the highest mountains.

3) There are flood legends in practically all cultures. The story of a great catastrophe seems to have been engraved in the collective memory of humans.

While God judged the world, He provided a way of escape for those who trusted in Him by instructing Noah to build a huge ocean-going vessel.

Creation Museum welcomes its millionth visitor

In May 2007 Answers in Genesis opened its Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. The museum attracted over 400,000 visitors during its first year. This morning Ken Ham and other AiG leaders welcomed the millionth visitor, Joe Brown from Ohio, to the museum. Read more here.

At last: Skeptics are awakening to see what creationists really believe

Known for his many books and articles, Michael Shermer, the editor of Skeptic magazine, is not averse to discussing controversial topics. In the new issue of E-Skeptic he recommends Daniel Loxton’s article on creationism.

Loxton equates young earth creationism with Darwinism.

According to an old myth, creationists believe that species have hardly changed since creation.

However, Loxton took a look at the websites of Answers in Genesis and Creation Ministries International and he was almost as astonished as the shepherds to whom angels announced the good news near the little town of Bethelem.

He noticed that creationists do not deny natural selection. Neither do they claim that species have not changed or do not change.

Many creationists believe that the global flood of Noah’s days was a genetic bottleneck that most probably accelerated speciation.

Loxton even checked what Creationwiki had to say about baraminology. The concept is derived from the Hebrew words bara (’create’) and min (’kind’). In other words, baraminology has to do with the study of created kinds.

Animals change according to their kinds. For instance, the Australian wild dog dingo (Canis lupus dingo) is now considered to be a separate species. It probably developed from the domesticated dog (Canis lupus familiaris) that returned to living in the wild. The domesticated dog developed from the wolf (Canis lupus).

However, a dog could never evolve into a cat. Neither could a unicellular organism develop into a multicellular animal since it would need far too many beneficial mutations. As Haldane’s dilemma suggests, even hundreds of millions of years would be far too short for that.

Darwinian evolution does not work in practice. It cannot explain where the necessary genetic information comes from. Without huge additions of information, a unicellular organism will for ever remain a unicellular creature.

When Neanderthals Were Depicted As Apemen

In the 19th century, anthropologists had not yet discovered any fossils of our assumed forefathers in Africa so they used Neanderthal men as their poster boys for Darwinism, depicting them as grunting, stooped cavemen. Evolution needed spectacular evidence and ape-men were well-suited for the task.

Chris Stringer, an anthropologist at the London Natural History Museum, acknowledges that Neanderthal men were not ape-men although they differed from us in some respects. For instance, they had larger brains than H. sapiens.

Dr. Stringer has not become a creationist but he nevertheless pointed out some misconceptions in a recent Scientific American podcast.

Neanderthal men were cleverer than we thought. (You can read more here , here and here.)

Neanderthals have made headlines recently. Svante Pääbo, a geneticist at the Max Planck Institute, and his research team are sequencing the Neanderthal genome and hope to publish some preliminary results in the near future.

Pääbo believes that H. sapiens and H. neanderthalis lived near each other for long ages in Europe and the Middle East and they probably came into contact with each other. However, he does not think that there was any genetic mixing between them and us.

According to the creation model, Neanderthal men were the descendants of Adam. They most probably lived after the global flood of Noah’s day so we would not be surprised to see Neanderthal traits in some of our fellow-travellers.

Creation Museum Celebrates Its Second Anniversary

Next week, Answers in Genesis’ Creation Museum celebrates its second anniversary. The 7 C's of History are used as a model explaining the past, present and future of our planet.

Two years ago Answers in Genesis opened its Creation Museum for the public in Petersburg, Kentucky. The international media were present at the opening ceremonies. The reporters were not exactly silent on what they thought about the idea of a non-atheistic view of earth history, either.

Humanists and atheists who are known for their great love for freedom of speech – as long as it has to do with their freedom, that is – joined the celebrations by demonstrating against the museum. They even hired an aeroplane and flew it around the building. A banner festooned with the words “Thou shalt not lie” was seen flying in the wind behind the plane.

The free publicity obviously increased interest in the museum and the interest has not waned in the two years it has been open. Last week, Answers in Genesis estimated that over 715 000 visitors had been to the museum.

In contrast, the evolutionists’ tour starring our supposed grandmother Lucy (aka Australopithecus afarensis ) has not been able to attract as much attention as they had hoped for.

The Creation Museum relates the history of our planet from a biblical perspective. Adam and Eve are seen as real, historical people. The visitor will probably notice that the Christian view of reality that consists of the seven C’s of history (Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross and Consummation) provides a better explanation than the atheistic great story based on Darwinian evolution.
