Je Suis Kelvin: Religious Discrimination – No Freedom of Speech for Atlanta Fire Chief

Millions walked for freedom of speech following the recent terrorist attacks in Paris that took the lives of 19 people, four of them Jews who had nothing to do with the cartoons that Charlie Hebdo published.

However, on the other side of the Atlantic (i.e., the USA to be more precise), the storyline was very different. Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran published a book in which he made a case for the traditional view of marriage (one man, one woman) and the biblical teaching on sexuality.

Mayor Kasim Reed responded by suspending him for 30 days and then by firing him, accusing him of discriminitory views. In doing so, he is in effect banning Genesis.

In his book Who Told You That You Were Naked? Mr. Cochran writes that the works of the flesh mentioned in Galatians 5:19–21 include homosexuality.

This, obviously, is something the major does not like.

It seems that true Christians and biblical morality are increasingly been discriminated against and anything but Christian ethics are politically correct.

Where are the folks who’d take up Je suis Kelvin posters and start marching? After all, freedom of speech was supposed to be an important issue.

Desmond Tutu Prefers Hell over Obedience to God’s Word

If the Bible says (it does) that homosexuality is a sin, then former archbishop Desmond Tutu says he will definitely not want to go to heaven.

Speaking in Cape Town at an event sponsored by the UN, Tutu said,

“I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I would say sorry, I mean I would much rather go to the other place.”

Translation: Desmond Tutu thinks he knows some things better than God, who, after all, has made it perfectly clear that homosexuality is a sin.

God will not force anyone to enter heaven. He does not like human rebellion – not even that instigated by a former archbishop, either, but calls all people to repent of their sins.

Paedophilia and Polygamy Challenge the Traditional View of Marriage

The biblical model of marriage is based on Genesis: an exclusive and permanent union of one man and one woman.

In August 2011 a group of American psychologists held an academic conference aimed at changing current views on paedophilia, making it into an acceptable sexual orientation.

Their organisation, known as B4U-ACT, consisting of psychologists and health care professionals, attempts to get the American Psychological Association (APA) to re-classify paedophilia, so that it would no longer be regarded as a mental disorder.

According to the B4U-ACT’s webpages, one should take a similar approach to paedophilia as to homosexuality, because (as they claim) individuals are unable to change their sexual orientation.

At the same time the American TV series Sister Wives presents polygamy in a positive light.

Accepting homosexuality and re-defining marriage are only one step in the desire some liberals have of destroying marriage as an institution. There is more to come.

When people reject God’s revelation, the consequences are disastrous, going from bad to worse.
