More Evidences for the Genesis Flood in Australia: The Three Sisters

Joel Kontinen

There is no shortage of evidences for the Genesis Flood. The Three Sisters is a rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales near Sydney, Australia. It does not fit in well with the millions of years paradigm.

Erosion has eaten away the softer material, leaving only the Three Sisters and some other formations standing. However, during millions of years, nothing would be left, not even a single sister.

The best explanation for the Three Sisters is the Genesis Flood.

”Humans Are a Plague” –Evolutionist David Attenborough’s View of Man

Sir David Attenborough. Image courtesy of Wikipedia.

Joel Kontinen

The evolutionist’s view of man is not very lofty. If he (or she) believes that humans evolved from pond scum via the fish and amphibian stage into an ape-like creature before beginning to invent a family tree for themselves, the result is bound to be hopeless.

Sir David Attenborough, famous for his documentaries, put this recently into words: ”Humans are a plague.”

In contrast, according to Genesis humans are exceedingly valuable, as we are created in God’s image. And according to the Gospels, He has paid the ultimate price for us.

Platypus – A Dilemma for Darwinism

Joel Kontinen

When European zoologists first saw a platypus, they thought they we witnessing a clever hoax.

The platypus is a mammal, but it has a duck’s beak and it lays eggs.

For evolutionists the platypus is a problem as it does not fit into their model. They have a hard time figuring how a water-loving animal could have evolved from a bird and a mammal.

In contrast, it fits nicely into the after its kind model introduced in Genesis.

”Almost as Rare as a Dinosaur” – Living Tree Fossil

Joel Kontinen

Evolutionists were exceedingly amazed when in 1994 they found a Wollemi Pine (Wollemia nobilis) growing some 150 kilometres from Sydney. They had assumed that it had become extinct at the time of the dinosaurs some ”65 million” years ago.

The Adelaide Botanical Gardens advertises it as a living fossil. The Sydney Botanical Gardens states that it is almost as rare as a (living) dinosaur.

Living fossils are proof of the Genesis after its kind principle. They do not support evolution.

More Evidences of the Genesis Flood in Australia: Heavitree Gap

Joel Kontinen

The evidences of the Genesis Flood are everywhere around us. For instance, the Heavitree Gap near Alice Springs in the Australian outback speaks of God’s judgment that destroyed the ancient world in its entirety.

Enormous masses of water have cut a wide gap into the mountain side. The Abos regarded the phenomenon as holy and did not allow women to approach the place. However, European settlers built a railway and a road through the gap.

Heavitree Gap could not have been formed by any other way than the waters of the global Flood of Noah’s day. Water does not usually flow upstream and is reluctant to attack mountains head-on.

More Evidences of the Genesis Flood in Australia - Uluru

Joel Kontinen

Uluru or Ayers Rock is one of the main tourist attractions in central Australia. It rises 348 metres higher than the surrounding plateau. As the plateau is over 500 metres above sea level (asl), Uluru rises to 863 metres asl.

Uluru is one of the sacred areas of the Australian aborigines. It is roughly 450 kilometres south west from Alice Springs.

According to the official evolutionary explanation, Uluru was formed over 300 million years ago, when it rose from a huge inland sea.

The explanation is not credible, as Uluru is formed of soft sandstone. It could not have withstood erosio for hundreds of millions of years. Nothing would be left of the soft material for us to marvel at. It would all have eroded away.

The Genesis Flood is a much more credible explanation of the mountain. The floodwaters flattened the area around Uluru, leaving only the mountain and the neighbouring peaks of Kata Tjuta well above the plateau.

SIgns of Noah’s Flood in Australia: Mountain Gaps

Joel Kontinen

We can see many evidences of Noah’s Flood in nature all over the world. There are, for instance, huge gaps in mountain ranges, such as Halls Gap north of Horsham and the gap near Alice Springs. Only the global flood of Genesis 6-8 could have produced them.

Water has eaten away tens of meters of rock, although there might not even be a river in the vicinity,

Present-day geological processes cannot form so massive gaps. There is only one logical explanation for their existence – the enormous water masses of Noah’s Flood.

”Dino Era” Tree Thrives in Australia

Joel Kontinen

When the first Wollamia nobilis (Wollemi Pine) was found in 1994, evolutionists were amazed. They had assumed that it became extinct during or at the end of the ”dino era” and it was only known from the fossil record.

Now, Adelaide Botanical Gardens in South Australia describes it as a living fossil.

Evolution has not been able to change the Wollami Pine but it still produces offspring after its kind.

Genesis And a Dead Mouse

Joel Kontinen

The third chapter of Genesis describes the most tragic incident in human history. Man’s sin brought death and suffering to the world. In Paul’s words, the wages of sin is death.

Thus, a tiny little mouse that took its very last breath of air in Melbourne, Australia tells us of the horrible consequences of sin.

Poison Warning

Joel Kontinen

Adelaide is a rather beautiful South Australian city but its waterways show us that we are no longer living in the perfect world of Genesis.

Algae have coloured the Torrens Rivers green and warning signs indicate that it is not safe to take a dip into the water. Herons, black swans and ducks are unable to read the signs, however.

The warning signs also remind us that sin has polluted our world in many ways. Often the hidden pollution is much more serious than the visible one.

The tragic events of Genesis four are seen in our time.

Batman -When Fact and Fiction Get Confused

In Melbourne, Tram line 35 passes near Batman Street.

Joel Kontinen

We might occasionally assume that some thinks are fact even th ough they are fiction and that some other things are fiction although they are fact
.
Melbourne’s Batman Street was not named after the comic hero of that name but one of the early city fathers was a Mr. Batman.

Many people might think that evolution is fact as it often is erroneously presented as such. However, for the most part, it is something very different – based more on imagination and just so stories than on fact.

Who Created God?

Joel Kontinen

Who Created God? is one of the most common questions skeptics use in trying to discredit Christianity.. It was the topic of Dr. Don Batten’s lecture in the recent Creation MInistries International Supercamp.

A skeptic does not believe in anything else except matter 8if he is consistent, that is), so he will deny the existence of everything else.

The God of the Bible is Spirit. He does not have a beginning and does not thus need a cause for His existence. He is beyond time.

God was in the beginning. He created everything, including time.

Flower Vase Or Flower – Which Is Better Designed?

Joel Kontinen

Many things in nature look like they have been designed.

It is difficult for an evolutionist to see signs of intelligent design in creation, as he 8or she) believes in the power on undirected Darwinian processes.
.
Darwinians believe that a flower vase is designed, but a flower has come about without ant design, as Dr. Don Batten recently said in CMI’s creation conference.

CMI’s Creation 2013 Supercamp Attracted Hundreds of Participants

Joel Kontinen

This year, Creation Ministries International’s Superconference was held on PHIllip Islandil near Melbourne.

The event began on Monday, 7th January and continued until Friday, the 11th. Roughly 800 people attended the conference each day.

The highlights of the conference included Dr. Rob Carter’s talk on corals and the high-tech cell, Mark Harwood’s lecture on the uniqueness of our solar system, Dr. John Harnett’s critique of big bang cosmology and Dr. Darrrell Fergusson’s lecture on current ideologies and worldviews.

Tiger, Dog, Monkey and Dragon

Joel Kontinen

Thousands of Chinese sailed to southern Australia in the 1850s, hoping to find gold. Some succeeded, others did not and earned their living as merchants or shopkeepers.

At Ararat in the state of Victoria there is a museum describing the ordeals of these brave Chinese. In addition to artifacts reminding us of these early gold diggers, the museum also has other kinds of items, such as a Chinese horoscope. It features 12 animals, of which 11 are still among us today. The twelft is the dragon.

The tiger, dog, pg, horse and monkey are real animals. Many would say that the dragon is the odd one out, but is it so? Soft tissue in dinosaur bone would suggest that dinos are not that old.

Waterloo – And the Most Important Victory in History

Joel Kontinen

Some little towns in Australia have fascinating name, such as Waterloo.

Napoleon lost his chance to rule Europe, when he was defeated at Waterloo. However, it was not the most important battle in history.

The greatest battle was fought on a hill called Golgotha, also known as Calvary some 2000 years ago. Light overcame darkness and life death. By His death Jesus destroyed death, atoning for our sins.

Dingo, The Wild Dog that Does Not Support Evolution

Joel Kontinen

Dingo, the Australian wild dog, clearly belongs to the dog kind. It looks like a mongrel dog and it acts like a dog.

The dingo shows that animals multiply after their kinds. It also suggests that the dog kind was one of the original created kinds.

Fern – No Change in ”300 million years”

Joel Kontinen

The earliest fern (Alethopteris gramdini) looks just like today’s ferns although evolutionists assume that it is 300 million years old.

Stasis – or no change – is surprisingly common in creation. Kinds do not change into other kinds even in hundreds of millions of evolution years.
