NOW, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe confirmed on Wednesday that Iran is sending out fake emails to Americans in an effort to “intimidate voters, incite social unrest and damage President Trump.”

“You may have been one of the recipients of one of those emails” Ratcliffe warned the American people. The DNI director also said that Iran has distributed a propaganda video to Americans claiming that the ballots can be hacked by foreign actors.

Warning Americans not to believe the videos, Ratcliffe called the actions “desperate attempts by desperate adversaries.” He added that their goal is to “intimidate or undermine voter confidence.” However Ratcliffe ended his press conference with a message of reassurance saying “you can be confident that your votes are secure.”

 Ratcliffe also said that the intelligence community including the FBI and DHS caught the subterfuge “immediately” and acted “swiftly.”

The emails Ratcliffe was referring to, were sent to voters in Alaska and Florida pretending to have been sent by the ‘Proud Boys’. The Proud Boys gained national notoriety after President Trump was asked to denounce them during his debate against Joe Biden. Despite the fact that their chairman, Enrique Tarrio, is a black Cuban, the group has been accused of being ‘white supremacists.’

The fake emails purportedly coming from the Proud Boys, warned the recipients that the Proud Boys have all of their personal information and that they know this because they have “gained access to the entire voting infrastructure.”  The letter goes on to threaten “You will vote for Trump on Election Day or we will come after you.”

The email then demanded the recipient “change their party affiliation to Republican” to let them know that they will comply. It concluded with a veiled threat reading “I would take this seriously if I were you.”

Iran Blames Donald Trump For Spreading The Coronavirus

Iran blames Donald Trump for spreading the coronavirus. According to them, America is the “Great Satan” that tries to poison everything.

“The Secretary of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights said during a recent television interview America’s behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrates that it truly is the “Great Satan,” and that Europeans that speak of human rights should be ashamed of obeying America’s “oppressive” policies.”

“In a March 18 interview with Iran’s Channel 1, Ali Bagheri Kani, who served as deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council from 2007 to 2013, said that countries that refuse to cooperate with Iran regarding the pandemic are responsible for spreading it all over the world. He mocked an unnamed European country for sending Iran aid in the form of 100 pairs of boots, saying, “This is the kind of creatures that they are.”

“There isn’t much I can say about America,” said Kani. “America is, indeed, the Great Satan, and its past and its future are clear, especially at a time like this when they become evident to everybody. The Europeans who talk about human rights should really feel a little bit ashamed of themselves for obeying the oppressive policy of the Americans. When everybody is dealing with this thing—with the coronavirus—they [the Americans] do not stop doing their illegal and inhumane thing.”

Iran has set free 70,000 prisoners because of the coronavirus, including Christians. Most of the deceased are members of the Muslim elite.

Iranian Christians Released From Prison

While the coronavirus has created sorrow for many of the earth’s citizens, there is a bit of sunshine in the darkness. several Christian families in Iran are rejoicing that their family members have been released from prison.

Iran has released approximately 70,000 prisoners because of the coronavirus outbreak in the country, Iranian judiciary chief Ebrahim Raisi said on Monday, according to Mizan, the news site of the judiciary.

"The release of the prisoners, to the point where it doesn’t create insecurity in society … will continue,” he said.

Detainees were released from prisons that hold Christians, including the three main prisons that are the most notorious – Karaj Prison, Evin Prison and Tehran’s Greater Prison, also known as Fashafuyeh.

So far, six top diplomats have contracted the virus, Three of them have already died.

Major catastrophes often give rise to outlandish explanations. According to CNN, a Syrian pro-government group claimed:

“Sources confirmed to us that Hurricane Sandy that is slamming the U.S. was set off by highly advanced technologies developed by the heroic Iranian regime that supports the resistance, with coordination of our resistive Syrian regime,” pro-government group News Network of the Syrian Armed Forces said in a Facebook posting.

This is the punishment for whoever dares to attack Syria’s (Bashar) al-Assad and threaten peace and stability.”

It is a common tendency to blame Israel or global warming for all kinds of calamities, so the Syrian claim is definitely a new kind of development.

God is – Good

The media often bring before us a world that is far from perfect or even good. Recently, British MPs used state coffers as their personal piggy banks. In Myanmar or Burma the military junta rules the country with an iron grip. Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe keeps on destroying what is left of the livelihood of his impoverished countrymen. In Iran, the regime mishandles opposition supporters and shoots to death a teen-aged girl watching a protest march.

In the midst of all this the Bible speaks about a God who is Good. The apostle Paul wrote a letter to Titus in which he said, “When the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” (Tit. 3:4-5).

We have made the world a mess. God did not command Mugabe to impoverish his country or the Burmese military junta to transform their state into a large concentration camp. He did not inspire Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s anti-Semitism, either.

Evil is a consequence of the Fall described in Genesis. Sin spoilt a world that originally was very good.

Sin does not mean that all people are as bad as they can be but that no one has ever succeeded in being completely good –except a carpenter from Nazareth who had to pay a high price for his goodness.

But this carpenter from Nazareth was no ordinary man. ”No one ever spoke the way this man does” (John 7:46), the Jewish temple police said of him.

Jesus of Nazareth was also the Jesus of eternity who entered history as the manifestation of God’s love. He still works through those who have accepted Him into their lives.
