Tiny elusive gecko rediscovered on one of the Galapagos islands

Leaf-toed geckos were thought to be locally extinct on Rabida Island, but the diminutive reptiles have re-emerged after a campaign to eliminate invasive rats.

Can geckos grow small? Researchers have found a gecko that is only 8 centimetres long on the Galapagos islands, They though that rats have eaten them.

Tiny gecko has been rediscovered on Rábida Island in the Galápagos, where it was believed to have been wiped out by invasive rats.

The leaf-toed gecko (Phyllodactylus maresi), whose adults are just 8 centimetres long, was previously only known to have existed on Rábida from 5000-year-old fossil records. But teams collected live specimens during expeditions in 2019 and 2021, which have now been officially confirmed as this species.

Researches find a living fossil on the Galapagos islands

Evolutionists believe that species die out and get extinct, However, it seem that the oppoasite is taking place on the Galapagos islands,

"A single female of the Fernandina Island tortoise species that was thought to be extinct for a century has been found in the Galapagos islands."

As New Scientist reports,  A giant tortoise species thought to be extinct has been found living on the Galapagos island of Fernandina. The discovery marks the first time researchers have located the Fernandina Island tortoise (Chelonoidis phantasticus) in more than a century.”

They are living fossils and lazarus animals.

Millions Of Years Without Any Proof

And it seems those long-vanished lands probably shaped the evolution of some of the unusual Galapagos wildlife that later inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution.”

How does he know this? For instance, the marine iguana, seems to be have come about earlier than the Galapagos Islands. And for a reporter who is well-versed in millions of years, that might should just right, but Darwin missed a lot, for example the finches gow by epigenetics, and he did not know that natural selection eliminates but it doesn’t create.

New Galapagos Film Challenges Charles Darwin’s Views

The Mysterious Islands, a new document filmed on the Galapagos islands, challenges Charles Darwin’s thinking on evolution’s holy ground.

The Mysterious Islands is a 90-minute film produced by Vision Forum that follows in Charles Darwin’s footsteps in the Galagapos islands.

Filmed in gorgeous scenery amid extraordinary fauna, the document also includes the comments of creation-believing scientists about Darwin, balancing the mainstream media's evolution bias.

During Darwin’s 200th anniversary, secular science journals have offered him praise practically every week.

The document shows that Darwin made many wrong conclusions about the animals of Galapagos islands, classified them incorrectly and overestimated the power of natural selection.

In the film, doctor John Morris, the President of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR), who has a PhD in geology, contrasts evolution and Christianity. According to the biblical worldview, Jesus Christ, the Creator of everything, who was the fittest of all, died for us, who are much weaker than He.

The Mysterious Islands is not the only critical Darwin film that has been released this year. Creation Ministries International’s Darwin film The Voyage That Shook The World is currently being shown around the world.
