'Excalibur worm' discovered in Australia

A study done in Australia has brought to life a fossil that lived in the Devonian period approximately  400 millions years ago, according to evolution,

The creatures, that are a fraction of an inch long, likely fed on organic waste and used their and used their armour plates for defence from predators. 

The creature had an overlapping plates of calcite crystals that ran along the entire length of the creature's body, so it brins to mind the sword yielded by King Arthur.
