How do birds walk with without shoes in the winter. God has provided them with an intelligent design element to keep them from freezing.

A similar kind of design also keeps sea otters from getting cold? They have a leaky mitochondria

Sea otters are the smallest of the marine mammals, and do not have this thick layer of blubber. Instead, they are insulated by the densest fur of any mammal

Within the cell the cell are compartments called mitochondria where nutrients are converted into ATP a high-energy molecule that acts as the energy currency of the cell.
