A new difficulty for the big bang has appeared. a monster galaxy that existed about 12 billion years ago . it lived fast and died young.
A galaxy known as xmm-2599 lived fast and died young, some 8 million ago.
But at the height of its planet-baking spree a mere eight million years later, it suddenly became inactive, astronomers at the University of California, Riverside, claim – and it is not clear why.
This might be a new difficulty for the big bang, which has had its galaxies forming too fast its earliest galaxies forming too fast and the Methuselah star is too young for it and the missing antimatter is another difficulty, just as cosmic inflation and dark energy is an illusion.
