is taking place on the Galapagos islands,

to be extinct for a century has been found in the Galapagos islands."

has been found living on the Galapagos island of Fernandina. The discovery marks the first time researchers have
located the Fernandina Island tortoise (Chelonoidis phantasticus)
in more than a century.”
They are living fossils and lazarus animals.
