The Drosophila eye is a model system
for phototransduction which means that light is detected to yield nerve
impulses in the rod cells in the rod cells and cone cells in the retina of the
eye in humans and other vertebrates.
Darwinists think that this process is evolutionarily conserved so that it has not changed in the millions of years of Darwinian processes
