At more than 110 million years old, a fossil excavated
in Brazil is the oldest undisputed ant fossil ever discovered. The finding adds
to evidence that the first ants evolved on the supercontinent of Gondwana in
the southern hemisphere before spreading across the rest of the world. This is
what evolutionists predict.
But these were
just like today´s ants.
“We have evidence
they were in South America, they were in Gondwana, during their early
evolution,” says Anderson Lepeco at the University of São Paulo in
Brazil.
