Some frogs can be really small, but they are still frogs.
This miniature frog, less than 14 millimeters in
length, is barely bigger than a pencil tip. Found in the forests of Serra
do Quiriri, Brazil, this new-to-science species of pumpkin toadlet frog has
been named Brachycephalus lulai, after the country’s president, Luiz Inácio
Lula Da Silva.
Researchers spotted the frog thanks to its unique mating
call, and later confirmed it was a new species using DNA analysis.
